Epic, from the studio that bought us Ice Age and Rio, does what it says on the tin. It is epic! A mixture of adventure and comedy, Epic takes us into the life of a teenage girl who goes to live with her Dad in a house by the forest – to discover he is obsessed with trying to trace down tiny little people who apparently live in the forest. Her Dad insists, “just because you can’t see them, doesn’t mean they’re not there!”. She doesn’t believe him, that is of course, until she becomes one of the tiny people…

M K finds herself joining the ‘leafmen’ in a battle against the evil in order to save the life of the forest. As you’d expect, there’s some funny tag-alongs to keep the pace up, a slug, who insists there’s “no shell over here”, and a Snail. The Dad’s dog also provides lots of comic relief!

Fantastic voice acting, including Josh Hutcherson (Journey to the Center of the Earth), Colin Farrell (Dead Man Down), Pitbull, and Amanda Seyfried as MK (Mamma Mia!). I saw the 3D version and was very impressed at the quality of 3D on this film – if you like 3D then it’s well worth watching the 3D version!

Note the 3D version is showing until Thursday 30th May, after which we’ll only be showing it in 2D!
