All proceeds go to the West Dorset Womans Refuge

With the kind permissions of Walt Disney Pictures we are going to show  a late night, fancy dress performance of The Lion King in 3D. This legendary animated feature from the 90’s won the heart of most children and adults and since then has never grown old. This new re-release by disney has seen the addition of 3D from some of the greatest minds in cinema technology.

This performance is all in aid of a good cause and all money will go straight to the West Dorset Womans Refuge. All staff are working for free, and no rental on the film is asked by disney. The show will start around 11 o’clock in our Screen 1 and it is encouraged to come in fancy dress either as your favourite animal, or as your most loved Disney character. This show is similar to our success with Toy Story 3 last summer and Narnia 3 near christmas. We hope you all have a fun time as I’m sure we will, and hope you all make the atmosphere fun and full of joy. If you know the words to the songs it’s encouraged to sing along and create a memorable evening for one of the most memorable Disney films.

The week beginning the 9th of Sept is not yet confirmed or even speculated at yet I’m afraid. As the summer holidays are over we should have family matinées in the morning/afternoon. As there are no new family films being released before then I would guess that it would be Spykids 4, The Smurfs, Arietty or Mr Poppers Penguins depending which ones we decide to keep on for further weeks. Obviously as there was a huge influx of family releases during the summer, sept and oct are always a bit quiet for that type of film. We always confirm our program on the monday before the friday (so in your case it will be mon 5th) however we may have a more stronger idea of what we will be showing in the next few days
