The Hangover: Part 2 (15)

Reviewed By – Rachel Geeson

Score 4 / 5

The wolf pack return to the big screen with the second instalment to the follow up of the record breaking hit comedy, “The Hangover”. Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding to Lauren. Much to Alan’s annoyance Lauren’s younger brother, Teddy joins the group. During the rehearsal dinner Alan tries to stick up for Stu and makes another legendary speech which has to be one of the funniest moments in the film, with some of the audience in tears of laughter.

After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. This is probably the best thing he could have done, as the rest of the gang wake up to the confusion and realisation of their eventful night when it kicks in that they had another wild stag do. Phil, Stu and Alan, along with the hilariously crazy gangsta Leslie Chow and a chain-smoking monkey find themselves in a dirty hotel room in Bangkok. Alan finds out that his hair has been shaven off and Stu discovers that he has a tattoo on his face. Following similar lines to the first film, the gang realise that the younger brother of Stu’s fiancée is missing. Along the way the boys visit a prison, a Buddhist temple, a tattoo parlor and a pharmacy. The first Hangover movie won numerous awards last year and this sequel could also be set to win the “Best Comedy Film”. It is a definite must see which will keep you on the edge of your seats and laughing throughout.
